Love this car!

After owning three new Ford Explorers in succession since 1992, when it was time for a new car we went with a brand new 2025 GMC Acadia AT4. I wanted to return to a more off-road feel of my 1992 Explorer, but the Explorer series continues to move in the direction of a minivan without the sliding door. The Acadia AT4 offers FWD/AWD, off-road tires and transmission settings, with a slightly lifted suspension and a magic carpet-like ride. the 4-cyl turbo engine with 8-speed transmission has plenty of power, even climbing mountain to Lake Arrowhead. The engine noise is different than a V6/V-8, get used to it. The tech package and Bose sound system are impressive, with a 15” screen to operate the tech. The panoramic moon roof is an exceptional feature. After 1-year and about 11K miles we are still quite satisfied with our GMC model choice. - 4.0
2024 Acadia

We have 40,000 miles on our red Acadia. This is the first year GMC made the Acadia larger with the 2.5 Turbo engine. We love the roominess of this vehicle. Holds 7 passengers comfortably. Behind third row is very spacious and also has a deep compartment for storage that most vehicles dont have It All Wheel Drive which is great for the Wi snowy winters and we get 28-29 mpg on the hwy, 23-24 around town with the 2.5 turbo engine. Its a bit noisy but only while accelerating. The only drawbacks is these turbos run very hot so I change my oil every 4,000 miles and in the summer I take off the engine hat and use 5w-30 Amsoil then back to 0W-20 and replace hat in winter here in Wi.. Infotainment center is Huge and fun to use but In the beginning using it can be overwhelming. Great car to drive! Had a recall or 2 and the rear left break light went out and took it to the dealer still under warranty to get the light bulb replaced but found out there is no bulb, the entire unit has to be replaced. Its a $700 part plus labor. GM fault! There's a glitch in this part they need to fix! Then the R side went out, ugh! Other than that, the Acadia so far is a nice SUV! - 5.0
